PARMA, Ohio — This just in: Teenagers love their phones. For proof, just ask them. But good luck getting them to look up from checking Instagram and Snapchat.
That’s why Padua Franciscan High School decided to engage its students in their own world with the newly released Padua Franciscan AlwaysABruin SuperFan mobile app.
With COVID last year, the feeling on campus was basically we have to get these kids back and excited to be here and get them really communicating with each other, because a lot of them don’t even know each other. The freshman class from last year especially didn’t have a lot of the cool student-life campus events that are a part of high school. So we thought it was a perfect year to try something like SuperFan, which basically incentivizes and encourages student engagement. Kids get really into using the FanCam feature, where they upload pictures of themselves.
