Belmont Bruin Rewards

The Belmont Bruins had a primary goal in mind when partnering with SuperFan: enhance engagement among students. With the use of push notifications, the program has found success in the SuperFan platform.

Students want information that’s easy to access, simple to read and follow, up to date, accurate, and though they may not realize it, they need it to be in a format that is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and worth an extra app to download on their devices.

Before SuperFan, an attempt to push important information to students was made by sending out weekly email blasts, posting messages to the Belmont Bruins and student account sites, handing out flyers around campus, and posting content to the student section (MOB) social media channels. Although information was circulating, Belmont did not have an effective way of communicating student promotions, giveaways and general updates with students.

While their traditional marketing efforts had fallen short, and with the goal of enhancing student engagement in mind, David Fish and the Belmont Bruins decided to team up with SuperFan, and effectively utilize push notifications through their platform.

Within our mobile world, what better way to ping students directly than through their devices? Integrating push notifications into the Bruin’s marketing efforts led to more eyes on important student information and promotions. Students and alumni are now easily reminded of upcoming events, promotions and giveaways, interactive Fan Polls, winner announcements and gameday updates.
